Citizens from the EU, US etc. require an entry visa, and it is your personal responsibility to obtain the entry visa. For the latest visa regulations, please visit any Indian Embassy’s web site. Usually you can download the visa application form there, too. You’ll find your closest Indian Embassy using Google…

Tourists visiting Leh don't require a special permit for Leh or Ladakh. However, your presence will be registered as you pass through Drass, Rumtse and Serchu if you are traveling overland. Those traveling by air are registered at the airport.

Tourists are required to get permits for restricted areas like Tsomoriri, Tsokar and Pangong Lakes, Dhahanu and Nubra Valley, which can be easily obtained from the District Magistrate, Leh, and through our travel agents at Leh. You will need a couple of passport photos and copies of your passport (also available in Leh).
